My world, My words.

Dear all,
Kannadasan is a இலக்கிய கவி.
Every work of his is in itself a part of தமிழ் இலக்கியம். He also wanted beautiful சங்க இலக்கிய பாடல்கள் to reach the common man. Many a times he has taken inspiration from old Tamil literature and created beautiful lyrics that continue to preserve and convey its original beauty. Today plan to discuss one such song.

Dear all,
This week picked a song from the movie Karnan – a movie that was grand in every aspect – Acting of everyone especially Sivaji and NTR, Sets, Dialogues and the songs.
Songs involved huge orchestras and Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy (VR) were careful in using ONLY instruments that were likely available at those historic times (Sarangi, Santoor, Shenai, Veena etc).

Dear all,
Traditionally movie songs were used by audience as restroom breaks. This was changed by K. Balachander, MSV and Kannadasan. They started narrating the story or let characters interact with each other via songs and used song lyrics as the main form of addressing complex interpersonal issues and perspectives that would have otherwise taken a lot of time and shots.
This week sharing one such song from the movie “Moondru Mudichu”,

This week I have chosen a melody created by the legendary trio Kannadasan and Viswanathan – Ramamoorty (VR). I picked this song since it has a lot of history and subtle nuances behind it.
